FOX seatpost Transfer F-S Factory Kashima Coat internal
All good things come in threes.
FOX presents the third evolutionary stage of its adjustable seatpost. Here is the new TRANSFER.FOX presented the first generation of the TRANSFER in 2016, and since then the terms Vario seatpost, dropper post etc. have become an integral part of the mountain bike industry.
The gain in riding fun and, above all, riding safety has been significantly increased by this component. While the first dropper posts of their kind were usually still routed externally and adjustment ranges of 150 mm were considered considerable,
the cables have long since been neatly tucked away inside the frame and adjustment ranges beyond 200 mm are now up to date. So what else is possible?
FOX shows it!Up to 240 mm travel is now available. Versions for 34.9 mm seat tubes have been developed for the first time and thanks to small plastic spacers, the stroke can be successively reduced by up to 25 mm in 5 mm increments. This results in a range from 95 mm to 240 mm, depending on the version. For this 150 mm version, this results in the following values: 125 | 130 | 135 | 140 | 145 | 150 mmAs each seatpost grows in length due to the increased stroke, the other elements must be kept flat and the maximum insertion depth and the minimum insertion depth required must also be reduced. A real highlight is the significant increase in service-friendliness. You can now easily adjust the air pressure and thus the extension speed of the TRANSFER by simply inflating the auto-valve under the saddle clamp with your fork pump. The recommended service interval has also been increased from 125 to a remarkable 300 operating hours and can now even be carried out without special tools. What remains is its reliability and the smooth way it does its job. Even though the saddle clamp has been redesigned, the same low height that was used in the second generation remains. Of course, let's not forget the Kashima coating, which is exclusive to FOX and offers outstanding overall performance, minimal friction and optimum responsiveness with maximum durability. It also looks damn good.
